Sick Day

Boy and I are both crook (Aussie slanguage for unwell) today and have done zero home school learning. While I understand this is boring to you, I am just recording it here for home school diary purposes.

We are like a pair of Blue Tongue Lizards, dragging ourselves around and sticking our blue tongues out to taste the health of the air around us. No...it still tastes rotten so we'll see you all tomorrow or the next day.

Hi K
I've got four kids and a foster daughter who still lives with us even though she's now out of care (she's 21). There's only four of us at home though. My two big kids are independent (24 and 22), and my third daughter lives with her Dad. Just husband, me, Boy and big girl at home. No pets because I've already got enough to look after and our back yard is taken up by swimming pool.
The Blue Tongue Lizard photo is compliments of our recent excursion to the Tropical Zoo. Blue Tongues are found throughout Australia and we usually see them when we're picknicing in the bush or driving to outback places. Boy would love to have one as a pet but he would get bored with it within a week and then care would fall to Mum. He had mice and we ended up taking them back to the pet shop because he never fed the poor little things.
